The Dishes The most popular mama's food in northern China. Chinese housewives make them for important occasions through the year, such as festival celebrations, family reunion, farewell party and welcoming distinguish guests. They are the food representing love, happiness and hospitality.
The Class We teach you how to make meat and vegetarian dumplings with simple ingredients and seasonings, everyone will get to mix fillings, create a dough, roll the wrappers, pinch dumplings and pull the noodle. During the class, you will not only learn the technique and skills, but also hear stories of Chinese tradition and custom.
The atmosphere is friendly, relaxing and fun. It's great for family, group of friends or colleagues who want an unique experience while staying in Beijing.

What About Dumpling is called "Jiaozi" in Chinese. For us, the northern Chinese, mother's dumping is the best comfort food in the world. We love to eat "Jiaozi" , as the the saying goes" nothing could be more delicious than Jiaozi".
Making and eating "Jiaozi" means joy, happiness and satisfaction. It reminds us the good times we spent together with our family. We sit around to make dumplings for new year, for reunion, for farewell and to welcome distinguished guests who come to visit our home...
Making dumplings is a fun family activity and is a good way to socialize with friends or co-workers. Joyce and her team host cooking class and dining since 2014, our courses are authentic, relaxing and refreshing, loved by many tourists and expats who live in Beijing. This place we partnered with is called Yuexuan courtyard in Dongsi and it's a popular youth hostel.The owner is a sweet Beijing lady, you will meet her. The courtyard is part of the former residence of a prince in the Qing Dynasty, more than 150 years old.
