Dumpling is called "Jiaozi" in Chinese. For us, the northern Chinese, mother's dumping is the best comfort food in the world. We love to eat "Jiaozi" , as the the saying goes" nothing could be more delicious than Jiaozi".
Making and eating "Jiaozi" means joy, happiness and satisfaction. It reminds us the good times we spent together with our family. We sit around to make dumplings for new year, for reunion, for farewell and to welcome distinguished guests who come to visit our home...
Making dumplings is a fun family activity and is a good way to socialize with friends or co-workers. Joyce and her team host cooking class and dining since 2014, our courses are authentic, relaxing and refreshing, loved by many tourists and expats who live in Beijing.
This place we partnered with is called Yuexuan courtyard in Dongsi and it's a popular youth hostel. The owner is a sweet Beijing lady, you will meet her. The courtyard is part of the former residence of a prince in the Qing Dynasty, more than 150 years old.
Join us, to have dumpling fun!
